Marbled Restaurant and Bar

August 30, 2015
To all looking for a new place to enjoy a delicious steak and a good selection of wine, Marbled at Loyola Street will surely interest you. Marbled, according to the small chat we had with their staff, is a project of the owner for his love of steak and good food.
Now, now. Before I get too excited about the details of this awesome place, let me share you some photos of what we had for lunch.
US Ribeye Steak–may not be the Wagyu A5 Sirloi but is tender, and wonderfully cooked.
Start with Spinach Dip.
Fettuccine with Tomato Cream Sauce and Chicken. Saucy and yummy.
Thanks to my ever-supportive Mommy Van (of my www.myteenagekidandme.com) for accompanying me in this food adventure and for the laughter-filled lunch
Place
“Simple, bright and very relaxing”
I have to be honest to say that there are many new places in the city that has a charming and intricately-decorated interiors but sometimes, it stops there. Its merely a charming place. Marbled, has simple furnishings, comfortable chairs and simple wooden decors. The 2-storey resto has a mini cellar on the first floor and has a small convertible function room at the second floor for small meetings and gathering. The huge window provides a beautiful ambient light but it doesnt get warm inside. I can imagine small reunion or lunch with family or birthdays being celebrated in Marbled.
Palatte
“Melts in your mouth”
Marbled has surely captured the attention of many Davaoenos with that Wagyu A5 seal on their door! Its probably a rare find in the city for the finest wagyu class and Marbled has it ready for you!
Waygu A5 is grade given only to the finest beef. It translates to Excellent Beef Marbling Standard. That portion of the beef that has best marbling of fat, color, firmness and texture of the meat and the quality and luster of fat. That small size of the beef that will give you a wonderful gastronomic experience because it has the best quality of meat.
Marbled’s menu also provide many alternatives and variety to match your steak. They have starters, sandwiches, pasta, salad and choices for side dish as well as desserts.
Price
“Choices determine your bill”
Wagyu A5 Sirloin at 150g is at Php1900. It surely is expensive compared to regular slices of beef but its the finest of its kind. If you dont want to splurge on a small size, the menu will give you a more affordable alternatives. Other steaks like US Ribeye, Rib and Tenderloin are available at a lower cost (Php270 to Php1,100 per 100g).
Other choices in the menu are also very affordable and the portions are good for sharing–best to go with a date!
Overall evalution: A highly recommended place to celebrate weekend with family or bring a your special someone. Food is delicious, staff are accommodating and knowledgeable and the price is reasonable.
